Lillian is soft-spoken in public but blossoms inside the apartment she shares with her outgoing grandmother. There's no blossoming in Dan's apartment, just thoughts of missed opportunities. When Dan takes Lillian on a date, he has a chance to connect with someone special. But their longing breeds such huge hopes of finding the right person that they both risk freezing within the dream.

With thoughtful cinematography and a beautiful score, the film rises above low-budget trappings and doesn't sacrifice spending time with characters. You won't hear snappy comebacks or see celebrities waxing poetic, just true gestures and words. The film builds deliberately, just like a relationship - awkwardness, giddy exploration, fun times, trials, and, finally, trust. Director Mike Gibisser is an undiscovered talent who truly cares about his subject and makes us do the same.
